Yay! The sculpting and painting of Pearl is complete! Well, I'll be adding details of course, but the bulk of it is done! This is pretty ahead of schedule, but I still have to do landscaping and add lots and routing and lay out the city part of the world, et cetera!

Anyone up to be a tester when it is closer to being done? I've changed my mind, and it will now require Pets & Late Night. It needs Pets because I've added a small village away from the city, so you can have a sleepy suburb and a vibrant metropolis! Can't wait to show you more pics. :)

Hey guys - I started working on Pearl again! I haven't really sculpted anything new, though - I've mainly just been screwing around with different ini's - here you see Pearl with the gorgeous China ini files, probably my favourite! :D I should be working on it more actively though, since next week I'm only in school Monday and Tuesday as I have to do work experience in a Supermarket Wednesday, Thursday, Friday (super fucking big

YAWN) but then I'm off for a week! OHSOME

I've also been thinking of getting a tumblr to post random shots or outtakes from my game, ones that don't really belong here. What do you think?

Hey guys! She's finally here! I FEEL NOTHING. Anyway, I've wanted to make a proper Björk for the longest time, and so after a lot of work and headdesk-ing I present to you, the one and only Björk!

So, Björk is (unfortunately) probably most notable for her eccentric sense of style and often labeled "crazy", but I think her beautiful voice outshines any of the shiny outfits she wears!

Over the course of her career, she's made a multitude of acclaimed albums and soundtracks, and showed her acting talent in Lars Von Triers 'Dancer in the Dark', for which she won the best actress award at the Canne Film Festival in 2000.

Recently, the 46 year old released the worlds first 'app-album' 'Biophilia' which encompassed several elements of nature and paired them with music and visuals, resulting in an innovative and ambitious project.

Now, I love Björk, and naturally I love her sim just as much, so I hope you enjoy having fun with her too! :)

Hey guys - I thought I'd stop being a douche and finally show you those pictures of my world. I'm back to school tomorrow so if I don't do it now, I probably never will! Formerly known as Giftwrap, Pearl is the current working title and it will probably go through every track title on the Drawing Restraint 9 Soundtrack before I settle on a name. While I have both Pets and Late Night installed, it will only require Late Night. I only have Pets installed to make CAW compatible. Did I mention I fucking hate CAW? I'm excited because this is probably my best world in terms of sculpting and effort. It will have a cool non sunset valley ini by the time it is done and all that snazzy stuff. However, Pearl is a plucking LARGE world and I'm not finished any part of it. Sculpting isn't done, painting isn't done, no lots built, no spawners, no nothing so don't expect a release for a loooong time!

Enough! On to the pictures!

Virgo Lash

Hey guys! This sim is kinda 'Florence Welch' -ish because she is awesome/amazing. Also I haven't had a female sim in a while, so yeah! Bring it owwwwn

So Virgo was brought up in a crazy house with five foster children and three natural siblings and lived in the basement of a T-shirt manufacturing company with her parents.

She mostly played by herself on the conveyer belts and imagined music made out of the clunking of the machinery and the occasional trapped rat.

One day a client saw her singing while cleaning up rat blood and instantly noticed a musical talent.

She began performing in nasty indie clubs and gradually began to garner larger and larger audiences.

Soon enough, independent magazines began to report on her flame coloured hair (dyed in honor of the rats blood) and her on stage quirks, which included consumption of a cereal box.

She now is gearing up to release a collection of songs that will knock the world on their asses!

Hey guys! Hopefully I can keep up this regular uploading again. :)

Anyway, I was recently inspired by a pic of one of my favourite artists, Matthew Herbert. This one, actually:

So why not make a sim?

So Pascal was born to a mystery lady, and grew up in an orphanage. Yes, it had nuns. Yes, it was damp.

He had a hard time adjusting to the routines of eating rodent meat and using a rat as a loofa, but at least they were well cooked and spiced.

He made sure the minute he tasted his first fried rat that he would get a job as soon as he could and high tail it the hell out of that place. SO HE DID

Anyway, for the past three years, he has been playing a disco clown in an art studio. He is painted by budding d-bag artists and makes a couple of bucks for his rent and ice cream machine.

Unfortunately, due to the strange schedule of inspiration, he must constantly be in full makeup as he cannot afford to miss out on a painting session.

Goosey O' Grunt

Hey guys! I'm sorry I haven't been on here, but school has been driving me insane recently. And I've started, completed, then abandoned due do dissatisfaction three worlds since I've last posted here. Oy vey. Anyway, here's a cute pig for you guys! ~~My selfsim~~

Born on a dairy farm, Goosey was never really embraced by the farmer with the insatiable lust for putrid cow milk! She's lucky she had her mother and six other g siblings to always be there for her with loving stories of the magical trip to the slaughterhouse.

However, Goosey had aspirations beyond the dairy farm and inevitable trip of doom. She wanted to become an advocate for the prevention of bad stuff happening to pigs and things.

Would you like to help Goosey realise her dreams? Will she soar and stick it to the man, or will she be prodded into the truck with an unspeakable destination?? You decide.

Apologies...

There's really only so much a dog can resemble a pig. As you can see, the hind legs kind of spoil the illusion, and the body shape is basically unachievable with the tools given, and when the dog teeth are visible it's kind of a bummer. But even so, I think Goosey is super cute and can pass as a pig anyday!

He grew up in a house with many brothers and sisters, BUT NO-ONE was allowed to use his inhaler!

He was forced to go through many jobs as a teenager, such as fish tank cleaner, fish cremation, fish food manufacturing and guitar re stringer. He repeatedly peeled oranges on the job, so that explains his poor track record.

He was also a hit at the drama club where his impersonation of a fly wowed crowds! But not even his spot-on fly impersonation could find him a gal.

He was lonely, so as an attempt at finding a mate, he threw water balloons at ladies as a conversation starter. IT WORKED OMG

Now, at 23, he moved out into an apartment with a cat, his lady and a collection of animal shaped soup bowls.

Taupe Case

Hey guys! I gots me a new sim for you!

Anyhoo, Taupe was born to Marlin researchers. Mostly growing up in a boat on the ocean, he had a fascination with nature.

His parents definitively encouraged his interest in the seas, and routinely tried to sew scales into his skin.

After he was taken away by child services, his new family wasn't too interested in the majestic ocean, and tried to get him into sports.

After he almost died from his injuries, his next family finally had some interest in the sea. As extractors of sea salt and blubber, his ambitions of living on the sea were realised.

Frostie Wally

Hey guys! Sorry for the lack of updates lately, but here's a new sim! I wanted a kind of Sarah Silverman-ish sim, so Frostie was born! :D

So, Frostie was born to artistic parents livening in a strange bohemian suburb. Her parents were very artsy and encouraged her to express herself loudly, but she preferred to keep to herself and make silly faces in the mirror.

As a teenager, she realised that she didn't fit in at school, but this didn't bother her as she found a shop that sold novelty possums, so they became her friends! Her favourite was called Seymour.

She began to attract attention due to her unique style of humor and blue jokes. She also wore slippers to school.

Her peers came to appreciate her outrageous personality after they charmed it out of her, and she developed a following online. Unfortunately they were also a suicide cult, so she lost a lot of fans. :(

Anyway, she has began playing comedy clubs to rave reviews and is angling for a T.V. show of her very own. But it's pretty hard to get one since she isn't shameless and S.T.D. ridden.

Anniversary

Today's an anniversary! I posted up my first creation on here on Septemeber 5th 2010!* Read this post for updates and thanks, etc. Let me fill you in with marshmallowey goodness! * LOTS of pics after the jump!

*(Actually, that would be my first EXCLUSIVE creation, Rozary, who was up on September 4th 2010, was on MTS for a while, though technically she was the first on here. Beck was up on September 5th)

Anyway, I should fill you in on where I've been for the last almost month. I haven't been doing anything with sims themselves, but it's been world central since then! I decided to scrap the world I previewed a while back just because I wasn't satisfied with the right side of it, and I didn't know what to do about lot placement and other general annoyances.

I've since started another world and had more or less completed it. But I just wasn't satisfied with the tree placement, so it really knocked my confidence and I just ran out of steam. But I actually looked back at pictures of it today, and it looked lots better than I remembered! Here are some pics. Also, please note that the very first pic of this post (the night shot) is of this world. It looks just stunning! IMO, anyway.

One of the main problems with this world IMO is how shitty it looks in overview. Ugh!

I may actually release that world, because it looks much nicer than I thought, and plays really smooth. As soon as I muster the patience to do routing and place spawners in a laggy CAW.

Anyways, here's a new world I started after the one I just showed you. Working title is Aposiopesis. It may not look like it yet, but it'll be a coastal ghost town with a VTM: Bloodlines Santa Monica pier vibe. I need to break out the fog emitters! ERRTHANG here is still a WIP so excuse dodgy sculpting, painting etc. ;)

I think my sculpting and painting is better in the latter. I've been practicing cliffs and rocky terrain. Hmm, this world is just being worked on for a few mins each morning before school and maybe in the evenings so god knows when it'll be done. Speaking of before school, yes: I'm back to school today which is a real bummer. I have more than homework to worry about...:( Hopefully I'll find the will to create sims again soon and get back into the swing of weekly uploads.

Also, over the last year, I've garnered 69 followers (the first being freshonlybakery, the latest being Pinklady1.) I'd really like to thank you guys so much for reading my blog and liking my stuff, assuming you do. This blog is a great source of fun for me so don't worry, I won't ever suddenly wake up and be 'tired' of creating. I wish I had something cool to share with you like stats or something, but I'm not really interested in the stuff so I don't keep records or those kinds of things on file, hehe.

Origins

Hey guys! I'd like to announce my final 'big' project for my summer holidays. A new world, remaining nameless.

Think 'Cliffside Retreat' from the PS2 version of TS2, meets a mountainous haven. Keep in mind that these previews were taken after less than an hour of sculpting from a flat map. While I work extremely fast in CAW, who knows when this'll be done, seeing as edit in game is STILL borked. (I haven't patched to town life, so I have no idea if the error is fixed.)

I can't stress enough how unfinished this is hehe. I just clicked the dreaded autopaint and built a lot in five seconds to make the indoor shot. But this is the basic, albeit alpha layout/structure of the world. But again, it's early days and these are merely the bare bones. It might end up TOTALLY different, haha.

I'm writing this post because I'll be preoccupied with this world for a while so don't expect many uploads like sims or anything. I just wanted you to know how minuscule my social life is. Lmao. Whatevs. See you soon!

Here's a new home for your pixels!

Hey guys! I wanted to do another house recreation, in the vein of my previous recreations such as The Farnsworth House and zeroHouse, and I found this gawjuss pic of a home online. After some searching, I discovered the original home was called the Crockett Residence and I knew I had to recreate it. I'm not calling it 'Crockett Residence', though, because it's not a 100% accurate replica. I deviated downstairs and improvised the back due to lack of pics. Anyway, enough of this! On to the house!

So, the home is very modern in style and highly stylish. For newlyweds or retirement, or maybe just investing, this home is is the ideal fit.

Any backdrop this is placed against it will adapt. No matter if it's placed in buzzing metropolis or a rural ranch, Realm will blend in and conform beautifully.

Realm boasts two large bedrooms and two spacious bathrooms and an open plan living area and kitchen and a massive backyard. The roof is also playable and an ideal area for stargazing.

All in all, Realm is the perfect home for anyone and it's available right now. ;)

Chip Keybox

I'm really on a roll! And I need more male sims.

Chip was always the class clown. He wasn't really the most handsome male around, but his sense of humor attracted all the laydeez.

While this worked out most of the time, he came to realise no-one took him seriously and people only relied on him for laughs.

He then decided to do something to make people take him seriously. After getting angina from the hamburger eating contests, he then decided to do something that wouldn't endanger his life.

He eventually found a comedy club. He forgot that he wanted to be taken seriously and signed on for stand up routines.

He is currently teaching the basics of stand up comedy and has every fine honey up in the club on his ass.

As an apology for bombarding you guys with superfluous and seemingly endless shite previews, I have a sim for you! He's very handsome. In the pants.

So Xam is and was known as the good guy. Growing up in the middle of five brothers, someone needed to be relatively nice and normal or their lives would just be the Howard Stern show 24/7.

However, being the middle child, Xam wasn't really sure what role to play. He simply tried to be the mediator and pretended to pass out to avoid conflict.

Anyways, he was the most successful academically in his family. He enjoyed sports, but his thing was really inventing things out of bits and bobs.

Need a pen that screams like a banshee? Ask Xam! Need an explosive placed in a salmon? Ask Xam!

He is currently in university and wants to make a dog that raps and a kebab that screams when you touch it.

Hey guys! I started working on Beck in December of last year and, I gotta say, he was turning out just AWFUL. But I purchased 'Odelay' recently and experienced a resurgence in my interest in the sim. I started tweaking him a week or two ago, and with help from some awesome users in the CFF forum, I have considered him to be complete. Here's some info from his wiki page:

Anniversary of Consequence of Coitus - BIRTHDAY

It's my birthday! I generally hate my birthdays because it typically works out that all of the people I'd like to spend time with are elsewhere and I'm cripplingly lonely as a result. Unfortunately, this year is no exception. :( I have spent sixteen years of my life being snarky but hilarious and being incredibly un-photogenic. Well played, self.

I'll leave you with one of my favourite songs. Also, I should have a sim soon. I was working on my True Blood cast for quite a while. I now hate them all and will probably leave them stagnant for some time before relapsing and continuing the cycle of annoyance.

Hey guys! Now, I know what you were thinking: 'Hmm, I've always wanted a Rumer Willis-ey pixie type sim.' What? You weren't thinking that? Well. Anyway, here's Lorraine!

So Lorraine has lived a sheltered life. She tries to fit in, but she can't seem to quench her insatiable need for moon produce.

She lives alone in a battered old hut, but she loves the moss and makes tasty salads from the dead leaves and the crab grass.

She sometimes wishes for some friends as the stag beetles infesting her home are waaay to political for her tastes.

Anyway, as of now she occupies herself by making daisy chains and hair accessories out of long blades of grass.

Hey guys! Some time last year, I was browsing DeviantArt for no apparent reason, and I came across this picture. I really thought she has the most interesting face, and though I know she was dressed up, I thought I'd do something in the sims with her sometime. Fast forward, and her she is! Well, a very loose inspiration, but I really like how she turned out. Anyway! Here she is, Pam Xebia!

So Pam grew up in a family obsessed with books. She was incredibly interested in them too, and wrote her own short stories, most notably 'The Cow Coven' and 'Kazoo Stomp'

She was also incredibly sarcastic. She used it to confuse her predators (bitchy peers.)

She continued to write during her highschool years, and many of her works have been published in High-Profile Newspapers such as 'The Daily Bias'

She is currently in University, and is loving it! She has a group of dry-humored weirdos she hangs out with so shut up! She's not lonely!

Hyperboreal - New Cold Climate World + CAW Files

Hey guys! I just returned from a holiday in Lanzarote. The heat was incredibly intense for me; it was not anything like Irelands climate, naturally. Now, I have been to hot places on holidays, but this was the first week-long holiday in a hot place I've had since 2004 so I had forgotten what heat can be like.

Anyway, I've gained a new found appreciation for cold weather, and I decided to continue to develop my idea of a cold world. There are many great snowy worlds out there, but I felt they were too christmas-ey and cosy, not isolated and littered with igloos. (Yes, your sims can live in igloos in Hyperboreal!!!!) So, without further ado, I present to you, Hyperboreal! (LOTS of pics, so beware!)

So, Hyperboreal was undiscovered for many years. Due to the roughness of the seas surrounding it, nobody dared to go within miles of it.

However, in 1962 during a particularly bad storm while exploring the polar icecaps, flight 17J95 was forced to crash land. The pilot was desperate to find any kind of land on the radar system as a sea landing would be fatal.

Luckily, Hyperboreal was located and the pilot just about landed safely.

After being rescued, the pilot vowed to find the landform again and set up some facilities for flyers who are too far in between airports.

He fulfilled his promise and returned in the 1970's with a wad of cash, and built an airport, a hospital and a military base to train pilots.

In the midst of construction, it was discovered that there was a network of fish underneath the island. This was a fantastic discovery, as it meant the area could be inhabited by humans. The drilling of fishing holes commenced immediately, and the completed fishing canal was entitled the 'fisHub'.

Nature trails were also being set up, but remain unfinished. Probably because most of the workers died of frostbite and malnourishment. But whatevs.

So, what's next for this developing area? Obviously, the climate is highly unsuitable for crop growing, but the fish sectors and arts and crafts sectors are thriving.

Most residents are employed as fishermen, but others are self employed artists, rock collectors, meteor collectors etc.

Yep, these igloos are functional alright! BUT sims will enter through a hidden side doors, and never the front door. So don't be too shocked if they walk through the roof like it's made of vaseline.

!NOTES!

=>There are Five different igloos included: two starters, two luxury igloos and one semi-expensive one. They're all the same on the outside other than terrain paint changes, but the interiors are different floorplans. ~~Hey, that's like a metaphor for the diversity of humans!~~ TOO CHEESY. Again, they enter from a side door that isn't noticeable from the outside.

=>All spawners that make sense are there, eg. meteors/metals are there, butterflies are not. If you don't like it, change it in the CAW files for yourself.

=>My CAW is semi-borked because I didn't buy or install Generations so Edit-In-Game is busted. You'll have to download the lots separately. Sorry! There's only eight in total, though, and I'll update when EA brings out a patch for CAW. Which probably won't happen.

=>It's a medium-sized world, but there's TONNES of room for expansion!

Bertram Lane

Hey guys! Damn, I'm uploading WAY more than I anticipated, but this is the last one until July. But I'll probably die on the plane after it crashes so FAREWELL.. :D

So, Bertram Lane is one of Bridgeport's most promising young actors. He is the star of his drama group and has appeared in commercials such as 'Starry Steve's Erotic Cakes' and 'Damn you, cat!' as the agitated owner of a cat who has defecated on fine upholstery.

He is noted for his dramatic actions and frivolous requests. He simply cannot live without Vietnamese Cat Food as it is the primary ingredient in his 'healthy' shake.

Bertram is gunning for a role on the iconic soap-opera 'Amnesia Office' as he feels he's the perfect candidate for its sensational plot and sparky characters.

His agent, Betty St. Helicopter, isn't much help to him though. She believes all he should play is the front end of a horse in a pantomime due to his unique cough.

But he hasn't given up, and believes his break will come. Along with the Taiwanese cat food he ordered in bulk four months ago...

Mavis Le Schue

Mavis La Schue once roamed free on her home planet Fauna 9. She had succeeded in finding her true breeding Mate♂, a feat that only the feistiest and most ambitious BioFawns achieved.

Unfortunately, before the procreating process commenced, Mate♂, was captured via spore cloud and taken away before her eyes. She vowed to locate Mate♂, before she suffered thorough MenoFawns and lost the chance to reproduce.

Earth was the first planet on her agenda, and she needed to blend in. However, her camouflage reflex wasn't functioning correctly, she she simply bought an couple of outfits and a wig in a pawn shop.

She now works in the very pawn shop she purchased her first items of clothing in to fund her search for Mate♂.

Hey guys! I was really inspired by a picture of Bjork (it's in the post. Ha! Because she had an album called 'Post'! Oh, never mind, you insufferable Shylocks.) and I felt that Queenie wasn't quite there in terms of my vision of a Bjork sim. Anyways, she needs a sibling, so without further ado, Edwina Pease!

So, Edwina was brainy growing up - she mostly had her head buried in a book, or was trying to sharpie her eyebrows back on after an accidental reaction between chemicals.

She generally achieved good grades, and despite her intelligence she felt like school wasn't beneficial to her. She decided to leave school aged sixteen to fulfill her dream of discovering a new element.

She eventually achieved this - a few minutes after setting foot out of the door. Seriously, when I said she was brainy I wan't kidding. Some major brainpower here.

She earned enough money from this amazing discovery to fund future research. She donates to 'Ferret Injuries are Painful' bi-monthly with her leftover money, and tries to keep in contact with Queenie as much as possible, though the reception in Wanderlust 'sucks isotopes'.

Subsequent Events/ TOO LONG DIDN'T READ

Sorry to waste your bandwidth, but I thought I'd give you a heads up of my summer plans/goals.

=> REMAINDER OF JUNE 2011~ Not that much. Basically nothing TBH. Currently, I'm in the middle of important state exams (been studying for three years for them). I've already done five out of ten, but they are quite spaced out, for example one exam/paper per day and I have four or five days between my final and second last exam. I have to be in school for last ditch revision classes too which takes up time. So essentially, I'm not done with school and have my summer holidays until June 22. "But Alan, that leaves you with more than a week left in June! Surely you MUST release something?" you may ask. Well, pushy person I just made up, I am going on holiday to Lanzarote with my family for a week on June 23 (the day after my last exam) and won't be returning until June 30, which leaves me with one big ol' half day in June. Oh, the joy! A month of my summer holidays wasted with exams? What more could I ask for! I'm also convinced that our aircraft is going to plunge into the ocean or crash into mountains and I'll meet my certain death, so I am terrified.

=> JULY 2011~ Well, my birthday is July 17, so other than PARTYING, (yeah not so much) if I'm not dead, I plan to start another TS3 world and continue my sim uploading. Maybe shove in some residential/community lots. I also tend to go through phases of installing TS2 games during the summer, so maybe (JUST maybe) I may upload some TS2 sims or pets or something. But I CANNOT grasp installing CC for TS2. :( I also have neglected my MTS account, so I'll probably be doing some housekeeping over there. Obviously chillin' with my real life homies is going to happen, so expect some absences. :)

=> AUGUST 2011~ Probably takin' it eeeeezay. -bobs head like pidgeon- Naw, I'll probably be uploading sims as normal. Practicing guitar and things. I'm also getting kinda chubby, so probably running. Or not eating. Whatever. General hum-drum activities. Training the puppy. Oh, and I get my exam results in this month! :D But when I see them, I'll probably go D: .
